Job Description:
With minimum supervision, uses fixed or variable measuring
instruments to inspect parts, products and/or processes and ensure
conformance with established requirements and determination of
compliance. Checks for irregularities and defects. Verifies
specified dimensions on products or materials. Works under minimal
supervision. May assist in orienting and training lower level
associates.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ability to both read and interpret the requirements of drawings
and planning's.
- Ability to analyze drawing and planning requirements and make
sound determination(s) of the appropriate inspection
method/equipment to be used for product acceptance.
- Ability to use all inspection/test equipment, this includes
coordinate measurement (CMM) and/or DCC, in determining product
acceptance.
- Ability to construct complex inspection set-up(s) and perform
required inspections (using set-up) to determine product
acceptance.
- Ability to initiate and complete all quality (Inspection)
related records and documents with minimal supervision.
- Ability to provide guidance to lower level inspectors.
- Self starter.
- Able to multitask with inspections in a fast paced
environment.DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE, CAPABILITIES AND SUCCESS FACTORS
- Minimum of five (5) years prior experience in standard
mechanical inspection; as a "Grade II" Inspector (or equivalent) or
better.
- Basic knowledge of ASME-Y14.5 (Geometric Tolerance) and ability
to apply/inspect to requirements with minimal supervision.
- Experience with measuring product of titanium materials.
- Ability to use a microscope for detecting cosmetic
defects.
- Ability to facilitate communications with Manufacturing and
Engineering in determining inspection methods to ensure part
conformity.
- Ability to support PPAP's, facilitate PFMEA's and Control
Plans.
- Per ITAR requirements you must be a US Person (US Citizen or
Permanent Resident Card Holder). This position is subject to
policies set forth by the State Department and applicants who do
not meet such requirements will not be eligible for the
position.Expected Pay Range: $27.00 - $40.00 per hourSeveral
